iTracker mini0906 is a small and almost invisible DVR that takes up little space thanks to its adhesive mount. The display is very small, but it is absolutely sufficient for the necessary operations.

If only the front camera is active, it records in Full-HD resolution at 60 frames per second. If the rear is also enabled, both will shoot at 30 fps. At the same time, the front camera has a very good viewing angle, so a large area gets into the frame. The matrix, unfortunately, is somewhat dull.
The dash cam offers three status LEDs, as well as large buttons that you can use to toggle the display from the front or rear camera, or turn it off completely. By installing the rear camera in the right place, you can use the dash cam as a parking assistant as well.
The remote control is very practical: it can be fixed anywhere (without wires) so that it is convenient to protect the desired video files from being overwritten.
Rollei CarDVR-308 (40134) bribed us with the highest image quality during the tests, and due to its low cost, it also became the leader in terms of price and quality ratio. As a special characteristic, the video handling process deserves mention: the camera shoots continuously, but, unlike other DVRs, it does not save files permanently. Clips are saved only if the device itself recognizes a traffic accident, or the user manually gives a command to protect the current video fragment from overwriting. Here, the law on the protection of personal data in the field of shooting in public places is best observed.
The Garmin Dash Cam 55 strikes a good balance across all test criteria. Particularly convincing were the compact design with a small footprint and additional features such as forward collision warning and voice control. In terms of data storage, the Garmin DVR, which is equipped with an 8 GB SD memory card, is also very good: in a traffic incident, at least 1 minute of what happens before a critical moment will be recorded. In addition, all videos that have not received overwrite protection are regularly deleted. This is in good agreement with the law on the protection of personal data.
