Prestigio Muze E5 LTE is made in the popular 18:9 format. Despite the large screen size (5.5 inches), the smartphone is comfortable to use with one hand: even if you have a small hand, you can reach the opposite frame with your thumb. The case is made of matte blue plastic — a practical and non-staining material that does not leave fingerprints. But the screen collects all the «fingers» that touch it. It is not for nothing that a protective film comes with the gadget — and we advise you to glue it right away.
The smartphone screen is a standard IPS panel with slightly rounded edges (2.5 D). The display resolution is low — FHD 1440 x 720 pixels. But the brightness of the screen pleasantly surprised us: even in bright sunlight, the display is perfectly readable. The smartphone has frames, but with a black front panel, they seem quite narrow.
All gadget buttons are located on one side — on the left. An unusual solution that will be convenient primarily for left-handers. The camera is in its rightful place on the rear panel, the matrix practically does not protrude from the case and this is definitely a plus — it is so difficult to accidentally scratch it.
Muze E5 is equipped with 2 GB of RAM and a MediaTek MT6739 1.3 GHz quad-core processor. This is a low-power CPU for budget gadgets that consumes little power. Considering that the smartphone costs about 60$, the filling is not bad and quite expected. By tradition, we tested the performance of the smartphone in the AnTuTu synthetic benchmark. It scored almost 40,000 points, more than the similar Samsung J2 2018 (36,000 points), but falling short of the Redmi 6A, which received a record (for a budget model) 64,000 points.
Simply put, the Prestigio can handle web surfing, chatting, and simple games like Rise Up with ease. But to launch «Tanks» or Fortnite, its power will not be enough — just upset yourself with periodic game lags.

The smartphone has 16 GB of internal memory (10 GB available to the user), but with microSD it can be expanded up to 128 gigs. Unlike many budget models, there are very few pre-installed applications on Prestigio — except for Yula and Yandex — but you can remove them. The smartphone runs on Android 8.1, and you will have access to all the delights of Oreo, including multitasking.
You can install both a memory card and two SIM cards (micro and nano) in the model. All three connectors are hidden under the cover. On the one hand, you don’t have to look for a pin to access SIM cards, on the other hand, it’s a very ocular solution, reminiscent of old models with removable batteries.
The smartphone works with GSM 900/1800/1900, 3G, 4G LTE networks — you will definitely not be left without a connection in Russia and the CIS. The gadget also supports Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. There is no fingerprint sensor and NFC here — in budget models you often have to sacrifice them. If you really need NFC, take a look at our selection of suitable models.
The Prestigio camera is living proof that the number of megapixels does not affect the quality of photos. The smartphone has a 13 MP matrix, a bright flash and quick autofocus – the camera responds quickly and immediately saves photos to the gallery.
With good lighting, the pictures turn out just right: the colors are natural, there is no noise and glare. However, at dusk, all the quality abruptly disappears. The situation can be corrected by the HDR mode — it brightens the photos a little — this result is enough for a post on social networks, but not for printing postcards. Sample photos are in our gallery.
The selfie camera is also average: 5 MP will be enough for an Instagram story or a video chat, but for something more serious, the picture will have to be heavily processed. If you wish, you can even take a selfie in the dark by highlighting yourself with a front flash. There are no “improvers” for portraits here: with Prestigio you will have to accept yourself with all the shortcomings.
Most of all, we liked that the Prestigio Muze E5 is an almost indestructible smartphone that can work all day long. It has a large 4,000 mAh non-removable battery and performed well in all tests.
The measurements were taken with a couple of background applications (Gmail, Skype), active Wi-Fi and an average brightness level. In half an hour of playing a video on YouTube, the gadget lost 5% of its charge in normal mode and 2% in power saving mode. The same energy he spent while surfing in the browser. From 10 to 100%, the smartphone was charged in 2 and a half hours.
If you are looking for an inexpensive 4G smartphone that can last one and a half to two days on a single charge, the Prestigio Muze E5 LTE is an excellent choice. You can use two phone numbers on it at once, and the gadget’s memory is enough for all basic applications and instant messengers. A good camera, a fingerprint sensor and NFC will have to be sacrificed here, but the model costs a little — about 60$.
